Award season is here!
Late last month, I announced that The Nothing Within was named a finalist in the Foreword INDIES Book of the Year Awards. (The final announcement of winners is pending.)
This week, the Eric Hoffer Book Award announced its honorees. The Nothing Within was recognized for:
- First Runner-Up: 2020 Award for Commercial Fiction
- Finalist: 2020 Eric Hoffer Grand Prize
- Finalist: 2020 Eric Montaigne Medal (for “the most thought-provoking books”)

Founded in 2004, the Eric Hoffer Book Award is one of the largest international awards for small, academic, and independent presses. Named in honor of the American philosopher Eric Hoffer. The awards are presented by The Eric Hoffer Project with support from The US Review of Books.
